Volunteer with us
To support the Rainbow New Generation (RNG) project, we offer diverse placement opportunities for dedicated individuals to assist our local team in achieving long-term sustainability and community empowerment. These placements are designed to allow participants to share their expertise directly with our staff and community, ensuring all activities remain locally driven and culturally respectful.
Educational Support Intern (RNG School)
–Role: Assist local teachers in delivering Basic English to children aged 7–13 and providing ICT literacy training for youth and local educators.
–Duration: Minimum 2 weeks (Long-term commitment preferred).
–Requirement: Strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a passion for inclusive education.
–Capacity: 4–6 participants per intake.
Teaching Volunteer: Community Village Schools
–Title: English Education & Literacy Assistant.
–Role: Support local “Smart Student Volunteers” in providing Basic English instruction to approximately 3,000 village children (ages 6 to 15) at government primary schools.
–Duration: Preference for long-term commitment of at least 2 weeks.
–Requirement: Fluency in English, a commitment to child protection, and the ability to commute to schools via walking or bicycle.
–Capacity: Open to individual overseas volunteers or small groups who can work alongside local youth assistants.
Sustainable Agriculture & Vocational Training
–Title: Eco-Farm Development Assistant
–Role: Support the Reul Eco-Farm master plan by assisting with vegetable cultivation, mushroom production, and traditional Khmer livestock raising.
–Duration: Minimum 2 weeks.
–Requirement: Willingness to perform physical work, an interest in sustainable farming, and ability to work in seasonal weather conditions.
–Capacity: 3–5 participants per intake.
Community Infrastructure & Development
–Title: Community Projects Coordinator.
–Role: Partner with local teams to improve village schools through infrastructure tasks such as building water wells, fences, and maintaining sports fields or playgrounds.
–Duration: Project-based (Minimum 2 weeks).
–Requirement: Basic trade or building skills preferred but not required; high energy and teamwork mindset.
–Capacity: 5–10 participants (Group applications welcome).
Hospitality & Cultural Exchange
–Title: Homestay & Cooking Class Associate
–Role: Assist in managing the Rainbow Homestay and organizing traditional cooking classes to help generate the 40% of the budget needed for RNG operations.
–Duration: Minimum 2 weeks.
–Requirement: Strong interpersonal skills, interest in Khmer culture, and hospitality or marketing background.
–Capacity: 2–3 participants per intake.
